Nijmegen win their first game!

Today, 01-06-2008, the team from Nijmegen won their first game with a 9-5 victory over Rotterdam 2.

With only 10 players for Nijmegen and 9 players for Rotterdam 2, the game was tough. I was really impressed by the good spirits and good lacrosse attitude of this game. Fatigue set in early, and after the first half we were tied 3-3. After making some changes in the positions the second half started out very well and we seemed to be making the connection. We scored some goals in quick concession and Rotterdam 2 was not able to recover.

I'm happy to see even teams with relatively little experience being able to play such a good game of lacrosse. Next season's going to be awesome!

MVP: Jeroen for being a solid all-round player, playing above his level

It's been 2 years or so since I last played any significant lacrosse, so my body was shocked at so much abuse. In 2 weeks we'll be in Rotterdam again so maybe you can witness my 2nd game then

So? Does that preclude me from playing anywhere else, ever again? I play where I think I'm the most useful. And I wanted to score a goal (which I nearly did ) I reckon I can be a pretty decent attacker
